Some banks use the money that you have in your savings accounts to fund the fossil fuel industry such as coal mines. There are options available to choose banks that are climate friendly, ethical and invest in climate change projects that will reverse global warming.

There are two main ways of investing to reduce climate change. Families and businesses can invest directly into projects like wind farms , or you can invest into funds which each hold a variety of shares traded on mainstream stock markets.

Hazer (HZR) is an ASX start up company in Western Australia that have come up with a new process to convert waste methane + iron ore into liquid hydrogen and high grade graphite. Liquid hydrogen can be used to replace the fossil fuel industry and has an estimated market of $Us 100 billion per annum. Besides removing waste methane gas from being release into the atmosphere the carbon in the graphite produced is locked up for millions of years and worth another US 15 billion annually.
